Flashlight Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Flashlight

I used a flashlight today,
So it could my fears alay,
For standing in the dark,
In the middle of the park,
I needed the feel of safety.

I used a flashlight today.
It was like the sunlight's ray.
So I could find,
In the midst of my mind,
What I was looking for all day.

This flashlight's light,
Was so right,
For me.
I wasn't afraid anymore.
