Flames Of Pain Poem by polina che

Flames Of Pain

Ow, ow, ow
Is how a usual cut
Describes pain
With little blood
And heat
But WW1
Describes a pain
Above others
Where conscription
Shattered the lives
Of people
And forced them
To give up men, brothers, sons,
To fight a war
That burned the lives
Of many men
Conscription
The hell of life
Divided Canada
And caused fights,
Riots, lives,
What was the point of giving up men
Who did not want to go
To war with others
For poor reasons
When their lives
Could have been spared
To support others in many other ways
No one likes watching
A person burn up in flames
So why force men
To burn up in pain?
