Fizzy Poem by Paula Glynn

Fizzy

I am fizzy like soda pop,
And I don't like to stop,
I dance all night,
Stay up until morning light,
And paint the bright blue sky,
With a rainbow like candy,
For I am a woman of many colours,
Fizzy and vibrant like soda pop,
And I celebrate my life,
I am fun and am always having fun,
I mingle with people: I laugh and talk,
I am myself and have the time of my life,
For I get dizzy and love being fizzy,
Like that soda pop that touches my lips,
But doesn't leave a pound on my hips,
And I live up the nightlife,
I do things the way I do,
Like I do with everyone,
And I do things right,
And, if I have to, I will fight,
But that is very rare,
But I do like it when people stare,
For I am like a queen,
And this life is like a dream,
For I am fizzy soda pop,
And happiness is mine,
For I am like a firework:
Once lit, ready to go,
Painting the sky with colours,
And fizzy like soda pop,
Always on funfair rides,
Feeling happily dizzy,
For this is my time,
And my joy will not stop,
For this world lives in my heart,
Painting the sky neon,
As like a painting of the world,
And with the orange of my fruit juice,
I remember those neon lights,
My soul happily fizzy like soda pop.
