Five Liner. A Hen's Cackling Poem by Valsa George

Five Liner. A Hen's Cackling

Rating: 5.0

I hear the hen cackling after laying the egg
Gently flapping her wings in excitement
What does she announce to the world?
Her joy over seeding the Earth
Could it be the same joy, a mother feels after childbirth?

Sure, she is a mother and the joy should be the same as it is universal. Good theme for a five-liner.

Wonderful imagination, Valsa! As you say it must be the same joy the mother feels after giving birth to a child. Beautiful five -liner!

Questions of nature's wonder are beautifully posed through chicken cackling after laying an egg. Nice poem. Enjoyed. Thank you.
