Fish Stones - Poem by Jay Alexander

Like lacquer,
Some shift;
You believe
They'll be there,
And trust.
They have
But few seconds,
Fistulas
Gaping wide-

Mercy on you,
Tonight you'll fry.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Going to concerts and listening to live music has inspired many of my recent poems.This one was written in October this year.
