Fish Dialogues Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Fish Dialogues

Rating: 5.0

upon southern sea
moon is so bright
stars sparkle fair
foams are calm

fishes weave a long breath
circle and dive so tender
melt themselves into
a solid firmness

why all innocence waters
are gone and vanished?
turned to darkness?
and got pollution?

O men! wash away!
don’t mess up!
set us free!
we free you too

The message is clear. Good. How can the waters be innocent? Waters can be calm.

Rub a fish... Make a wish. Throw it back in... Almost pulled, inside. Wrist wrestled from the deep. Wish came true, this one I keep. Great poem. What do ya think o' this one? MJG... Of the world, of poetry.
