First Times Poem by Melody Stargaze

First Times

The first time I spoke to you,
With a computer screen in the way,
I didn't think it to be true,
But you took my breath away.

The first time your eyes met mine,
My hands were cold as ice,
And even if for a short time,
Our encounter was nice.

The first time that we hung out,
The sky went gray and the wind blew,
Your touch erased all of my doubt,
That kiss made me fall for you.

The first time I met mom and dad,
My nerves were wound tight.
You relieved me of the stress I had,
By saying 'It'll be alright'.

The first time I meant 'I love you, '
Though it took longer for me,
I've said it once, and it is true,
That we are meant to be.

I look back to when I first met you,
And laugh at that computer in the way,
Because I know that I was right,
You took my breath away.
