First Snow (Version 1) Poem by Nomad Omnia

First Snow (Version 1)

Rating: 3.0

The boy and the dog
Stand in stillness on the waiting road.
Night’s embrace cloaks them in darkness
no less than invisibility.
They face north
And feel the first cobweb kiss of snowflakes
Borne on feathered air.
He will always remember this;
The boy, with his dog,
Standing there.

I agree...this version is the best. The repetition if the first line brings it to full circle and makes it complete for me. A beautiful image.

A winterscape worthy of the name. I am moved by its simplicity. As always, Sandra
