First Kiss Poem by Vyktor Ekott

First Kiss

I remember, we were about eight or nine
Dreaming together and laughing freely
I never knew you could someday be mine
And you never thought I’d become yours truly.

We played and touched with freedom
Our hands were harmless and our minds plain
Infatuation and sex was beyond our wisdom
I thought of you as a friend without 'such' gains.

When we became eleven or twelve
We were always shy, when together
Your touch took me to planet I’ve never been
And you stopped calling me ‘Dear Brother’.

Then I started feeling strange in your presence
You’ll always come asking for one book or the other
I felt weak and empty in your absence
And I realized that I can’t risk you for another.

One day, we were together all alone
We were chatting and laughing with bliss
Then something rung in our hearts like a phone
And we connected our lips in our first kiss.
