First Kiss Poem by susan brealey

First Kiss

It starts with a look,
so simple.
Filled with intentions
not yet understood.

Shyly moving in
for that first kiss,
so nervous, anxious,
filled with excitement.

Each touch like fire,
like ice.
Chilling the skin
and setting the soul on fire.

This moment lasts for hours,
but seems like an instant.
From the first time I kissed you
I knew this love was true.
