Fireworks Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Fireworks

Fireworks

Like fireworks in distance sky
My head becomes many stars

I shout
I shout
I shout

You laugh
You laugh
You laugh

Hand in hand of your child
Mother
Dad

There
See that?

And I
Look for Ana Al-Haq
Look for ‘I and thou’

And I
Turn into ash
Hidden, ignored
From your eyes

I shout
To know why ask:

Hallaj (who sees beyond body)
Martin Buber (follows Hallaj)
Basil Bunting (knows Iran)
E. E. Cumming (is in circle)
