Firefly Poem by Clairabella Shoens

Firefly

I was in a meadow
In the darkest night,
An dall around me was silent.
Then a firework of lights flashed around me
Tiny little creatures with lights
Little bugs who looked like they were on fire.
Beautiful lights showing me a world I never knew,
Beauty in the darkest night.
A little firework bug landed in my palm,
A tiny delicate creature.
Even though they stopped their light show,
I couldn't help but stare at the bug in my hand,
A firefly.
