I see the way you are
everyday,
face long, and drawn though
you try to hide it.
I watch you put on that fake smile
as you try to fool everyone.
You don't fool me.
Your despair shows through
though everyone seems so oblivious.
The darkness is all around you
Hiding the light, ready to consume
But the darkness won't fade
till you make it.
The sun does shine,
life does go on;
though life feels like it just stopped.
Life is still worth living,
there is so much to see!
Take my hand and lets fly
throw away the mask,
you have no need of it.
Look out the window
breath the new air
It's a new day.
