Finally Wept. Poem by Ritika Abrol

Finally Wept.

Aimless walks, Aimless strides
'Neath the bruised, battered sky
'Neath a moon too proud to show
Mine alike, defeat, furore

Hardened stance, refuse to fall
Refuse to break, unsee the gall
Implore mine eyes, which moist became
Keep thy pride, all that remain

But tears did fall, as I turned to sleep
Dampened eyes, no more it'd keep
Let it all gush, go forth say I
Let loose the rage, the pain, the sighs
Unleash the sounds, stifled and cramped
Release the waters, flood the swamps
Ruin the night, it's hush be damned
Your hurt, the rave, no more be manned
Let out the screams, shrieks and tears
Let it out, till 'ts heat burns and sears
Let it out, till a calm descends astrange
Let it out, till thy thoughts rearrange
Let it out, till a silence so silent and soft
Holds you in it's arms, holds you aloft
Embraces gently and helps you breathe
Helps you think, Helps you sleep
Cradles the mind, the soul till it all ebbs
And fall back in peace, 'cause you've finally wept.
