Filled With Many Colors Poem by Elisha De La Rosa

Filled With Many Colors

Based on our art
What is the diffrence in every portrait
Emotion, expressions, forms sets it apart
But what surrounds it when a candle is lit

Darkness can even cast a shadow
A little light can shine
From what is lit by the candle below
Reflecting off its feelings in line

Every movement in the painting
Will be like of the living
Even if the portrait is blank with lucidity
The white, unstained drawing is purity

What brings breath to our portraits
What shades the floor with its shadow
Color brings amazment to a painting
Extending it until the portrait is no longer hallow

Touch the hearts of many
Give thoughts of plenty
What expression shall an artist give his painting
What song shall an emoion be singin'

In this painting
In all of these actions
With many colors is what they are saying
We are filled with emotions

Red, white, and blue
Why is a patrotic flag of a revolting country
Is like a captain's crew?
They contain all this colors, of this beauty

Bleeding into the painting
Are the colors of many
The colors are awaiting
For what emotion they'll be showing

The art is lovely
Filled with many colors
Emotions of plenty
For our feelings have been plundered
