Fill Me Poem by Greg Davidson

Fill Me

Rating: 5.0

Damaged vessel,
I surrender to the Potter's hand.
Unworthy here I stand,
Waiting for my Lord's command.

Helpless, hopeful,
I stand in need,
From binding chains to be freed.
Lord take my hand and lead.

Heal me, repair
The cracks and broken clay,
Remould me that I may
Hear You, see You and obey.

In former days,
As I began to grow,
I felt your Spirit's flow,
As hand in hand we'd go.

In latter days,
As I older grow,
Forgiveness more I need to know.
Healing please bestow.

Make me sound again,
That I may hold new wine,
To make Your bounty mine,
My life, from dross, refine.

Fill me my Lord,
Fill me with new wine.
To your will, my will incline,
Your Light, my path define.

Fill me my Lord,
To full and overflowing measure,
Your Word, Your Law, my treasure,
Your will, my joy and pleasure.
