Fight The Good Fight
The sky is dark and dreary
I look around with fear
I can't help but wonder
How did i get here?
The love i found is slipping
It's my fault and not his
He holds me in his protective hand
But its me who chooses where to stand
I stepped out of the protection
And now im falling fast
Im struggling to keep it together
How long can i last?
As our love slips away
I'll face another day
I'll regain this love again
And finally be able to stand
I won't give up this fight
I'll make it through the night
I know that this is whats right
And finally im feeling alright
The hope is restored
It runs to my core
Thank you dear Lord
Its you my heart beats for.

Hi Tiffany - This is a dilemma we have all faced. V 1 The future looks bleak 'How did I get here' V 2 The cause of the angst in V 1 is an altercation in love. 'It's my fault not his' V 3 Extends the angst 'How long can I last? ' V 4 Is a RESOLVE to regain the lost love. 'I'll regain this love again'. V 5 The resolve is strengthened 'I wont give up this fight'. V 6 Is very positive and the dilemma of V 1 seem to have been resolved. 'The hope is restored - It runs to my core - Thank you dear Lord -It's you my heart beats for. Well structured poem with a positive ending. Love you in Poetry - JOHN
