*fight And Flight

Rating: 2.8

If you can't take it anymore
Is it time to run away?
Run from this sickness in the stars
Have they led you astray?
To the present day devil in disguise
Beguiled this to our dismay
A light passed from the candle to the flame
Never tried to hide this pain in shadows

I read the signals from the sign
Such a sentimental waste
Ardent fingers played to bleed
Songs of detrimental haste
You read the writing on the walls
My tragic lack of grace
If you can't take it anymore
Is it time to make like a leaf and hang from a tree?

Open to fall inside
And the rain falls from a vacant sky
Faking romance of the night
Finding the day's philosophy
A maiden flight

Will you lay the questions to rest?
I'm afraid I have the diagnosis
And it doesn't look good
There's a chance you won't make it
Through the night, and we cannot
Cannot take any chances
Lock the windows and bolt the furniture
To the ground, it's just not worth the risk
You say you feel just fine
I say you feel a little pretentious
With a hint of undignified self
Portrayal non existent

Personally it hurts
To see you lying there on the floor
Hopefully it doesn't last
Even though we can't be

Open to fall inside
And the rain falls from a vacant sky
Faking romance of the night
Finding the day's philosophy
A maiden flight

We need oxygen…How long has it been…
Quick, just hand me…Not gonna make it…
I know what I'm doing…Vitals are failing…
Are you sure that's…I know what I'm doing…
Everyone…Clear

You'll never have to run away
Salvaged your soul in time
This demon that possessed your heart
Is now a memory of mine
Cannot refute this evidence
Assuredly it was the rhyme
Or reason that you held to me
Because of me you almost died

It's time to make like a bird, spread your wings, and fly…
