Fifth Avenue At Twilight Poem by Argentine Tango

Fifth Avenue At Twilight

Rating: 4.8

Across the moonlit painted skies
The lonely windows weep
And in their faces candles creep
Much to the night's demise
Shadows walk the alleyways
They slither through the grime
Crooked top hats droop with time
Deflecting others' gaze
Trees are few and weak under trial
As smog accumulates
And all life slowly suffocates
Under its ashen smile

I like this poem You capture the essence of the painting very well (I had to Google it, as I'd never seen it before)
