Field Of Sages Poem by Pablo Gonzalez

Field Of Sages

Infront of you I dropped my sword and shield
asked you to come see the sight of sages
in the midnight moonlit fields

asked you to join my pride of lions
together we'd break free from the cages
promised you a field of sages

drew a line in the sand
we start from here
we'll outrun an avalanche of spears
a kiss to send us off
and we race towards the horizon
a sight of sages to welcome our arriving

our glory will be our retribution
I offer you an allegiance and restitution
to be bound with me
spill the remains of your memories and nightmares in the process
and rise and stride and stand grand a colossus
and through the ages
forget the pain in a field of sages

so let our feet smoulder by the friction
i'm holding you by the hand
so you can feel my addiction
you're the one,
you've always been the one
don't give up on me now
a million miles, a million miles
soon they will all greet us with bows
you've been blessed by spirits and mages
and as promised,
my absolution
and your field of sages.
