Fever Power Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Fever Power

I was down with fever
It happened never
Occasionally I used go down
As indisposition was unknown

It gripped me with told
"It can be Malaria" I was told
All of sudden whole body was shivering
I rushed to the bed with quilt offering

"O dear, take Matacin"
It is good tablet as medicine
It will give you fast relief
They were so brief

The temperature was brought down
I thought the fever had gone
But again in evening it made reappearance
I was again shivering at once

It was Sunday and no doctor will be available
The Sunday off may take them to far off places like, jungles
Or in restaurants
For lavish food tastes

Three quilts were put over me
Body applied with balm very free
I felt power of fever
It was reminding me of an end very near
