Festival Of Light Passed With Lack Of Satisfaction!
Almost every ‘Deepavali’ gets itself
..widowed due to the fuddling of the rain!
Due to the extreme frolic of the rains,
..there is no use of crackers and fireworks!
The realistic tears shed by Narakasura for his sin
..is sprinkled as water-shower on the light festival day!
The city of Chennai submerged in water floods
..languishes to find nobody to adopt and help!
The preparation of snacks and eatables for Deepavali
..had been stopped due to the shutdown of electricity!
Poor family members! They got vexed by repeatedly
..calling the attendants in the office of the electricity!
The shop owners of crackers blabber
..and lament as their capital investment
gets lost even if they could sell
..the dampened crackers for half price!
The craze for Ramanan is more during rainy season
..than the Rama who carried the bow to fight in war season!
There is no wonder if the meteorological officer,
- Regional meteorological centre -
who appears in the television and informs
..the weather forecast gets the Oscar Award!
But still, there is no wonder if he gets annoyed
..when the nature behaves variably to his reports!
The streets are devoid of people
..who keep themselves restrained inside their houses!
The school children are in grief
..that they are unable to fire the crackers!
The traders are lamenting that they are unable
..to sell the heaps of articles they bought in bulks!
The poor government employees and workers
..who gets into the curse and angry of the public!
The experienced officials get into the displeasure
..of the politicians and the commands of the ruling party!
Thus, the winter storm passed off the sea shore
..after ‘dissolving tamarind in everybody’s stomach’!

திருப்தியில்லா தீபத்திருநாள்
ஒவ்வொரு தீபாவளியும் மழையின்
போதையால் விதவையாகி விடுகிறது!
மழைமகளின் மகத்தான ஆட்டத்தால்
மத்தாப்புக்கு வேலையில்லாமல் போய் விடுகிறது!
தான் செய்த பாவத்திற்காக நரகாசூரன் விடும் நிஜக்கண்ணீர்
தீபத்திருநாளில் தீர்த்தவாரியாக தெளிக்கப்படுகிறது!
தண்ணீரீல் தத்தளிக்கும் சென்னை
தத்தெடுப்பார் யாருமில்லாமல் தவிக்கிறது!
மின்சாரம் துண்டிக்கப்பட்டதால்
பலகாரம் சுடுவது பாதியிலேயே நின்றுப்போனது!
பாவம் – சம்சாரிகள்! மின்வாரிய அலுவலகத்தை
அலைபேசியில் அழைத்தே அலுத்துப் போனார்கள்!
பட்டாசுக்கடை வைத்தவர்களோ..
நமுத்துப்போன வெடிகளை..
பாதிவிலைக்கு விற்றாலும்
முதலுக்கே மோசமென புலம்புகிறார்கள்!
யுத்தகாண்டத்தில் வில்லேந்திய இராமனைவிட
கார்காலத்தில் வானிலை இரமணனுக்கு மவுசு அதிகம்!
வானிலை நிலையை சொல்வதற்காக
தொலைக்காட்சிகளில் தோன்றுகின்ற
சென்னை வானிலை அதிகாரிக்கு ஆஸ்கார் அவார்ட்
கிடைத்தாலும் ஆச்சரியமில்லை..!
ஆனாலும், அவர்விடும் அறிக்கைக்கு மாறாக
இயற்கை நடந்து கொள்வதில்
அவருக்கே வெறுப்பு ஏற்படுவதில்
வியப்பொன்றுமில்லை..!
வெறிச்சோடி கிடக்கும் வீதிகள்
வீட்டிற்குள்ளேயே முடங்கிய மக்கள்!
பட்டாசு கொளுத்தாத சோகத்தில்
பள்ளிச் சிறார்கள்
வாங்கிக் குவித்த பொருட்கள்
விற்றுத் தொலைக்காத ஏக்கத்தில் வியாபாரிகள்!
பொதுமக்களின் கோபத்துக்குள்ளாகும்
பரிதாபத்துக்குறிய அரசு தொழிலாளர்கள்
அரசியல்வாதிகளின் அதட்டலுக்குள்ளாகும்
அனுபவமிக்க அதிகாரிகள்
இப்படி எல்லோர் வயிற்றிலும் புளியைக் கரைத்துவிட்டு
கரையைக் கடக்கிறது கார்காலப் புயல்! - இரா.மணிமாறன்
