Feline Poltergeist Poem by Cathleen Hodgkinson

Feline Poltergeist

Rating: 5.0

We have a feline poltergeist.
She's quite an innocent sight.
Sleeps all day, fluffy white coat, sweet purring, a cat lover's delight.

But in the midnight hours, on the prowl and quite meek.
We never know what this clever little 'ghost' may contemplate,
to wreak havoc while we sleep.

Little 'bumps' in the night, open cabinets and closet doors.
Toilet paper shreaded about, misplaced articles,
cap of the toothpaste, found on the livingroom floor.

Flower vase toppled over, sugar bowl carelessly poured.
And the dog's water bowl,
her obsession with water....all over the kitchen floor.

Tiny 'pitter-patters' running up and down the dark hall.
An occassional 'meow', perhaps on the hunt.
Our busy little poltergeist...nevers tires all night long.

We have a feline poltergeist, a true cat lover's delight.
Morning comes, she''ll curl around your feet as if to say,
'It wasn't me, I must sleep for now it is daylight.'
