Felicity Poem by Andrus Cassian

Felicity

Hello Alone...
Hello Universe...
Hello a lonely...universe
It's been a few weeks, few days, few simple hours
and one small minute
since I have shared in your company
for I have been fetching a story worth your time
for you are worthy of mine even if I'm not worthy to you
Here in my hands, I hold the tale of Felicity
sweet, sweet Felicity
See she is a princess, see the colors of royalty
but her castle is in the starry sky
the colors of black and purple
portraying the outline of her complicated splendor of her world
Her eyes contain a symbol of hope
a sprinkle of water upon a growing flower
a color that I myself am quite fond of
And I myself seem to wonder
did I paint her eyes in the background of my mind
or did she paint me into reality...
Felicity...
Spinning around in a circle
What to call it
I see it as a way to spin out of control
a mini tornado to erase the pain of past
but with mute concentration
she whispers to me through her moving hips
its her expression of herself
expression of who she is
a mix culture of soldiers and warriors
interlocked in the pursuit of freedom
a descendant of men and women who knew hardship
forced to fight, forced to suffer hatred
all for the price of freedom
Felicity...proud and strong Felicity...
I will never forget your name
Felicity...
I will never forget your face...
please paint it proudly for me
I will never forget your face...
please look in my eyes to know it's true...
Felicity...
I am proud to know you...
Felicity..
Hello lonely universe...lonely universe...
are you satisfied...
Is she worthy of your attention to know who...
know who she is...
Felicity...
You are beautiful
