Feelings In War Poem by Philip Lore

Feelings In War

Strength, weakness,
Goodness, wickedness.
In my thoughts they dwell.

Cowardice, bravery,
Life, death,
Can you image wars hell?

Pleasure, pain,
To laugh, to cry,
Entangled in war,
I must remain.

Diversity, equality,
To pursue or flee,
Senseless acts of war I see,
Troubled by stirring insanity.

Each moment so shapeless,
Entangled patchwork in my mind,
No common human pattern,
Just worthy men who do their time.
