Feelings Poem by Mary Rodriguez

Feelings

Rating: 4.0

My mind is filled with memories, both perfect and in pain
No matter where I go in life, I'll love you the same
It's been too long since I've seen your face
Dreaming of the day I'll hold you in a loving embrace
Night is when I feel most scared
Wondering can you feel how much I care?
My patience has no end when it comes to loving you
I'll wait a lifetime for you to see it's true
Recalling all that we've been through
Believe me when I say, I'm nothing without you
We need to hold on together
Trust the days ahead will get better
You hide your inner feelings and keep them locked away
My heart hears every word in the things you do not say
Believe in the feelings that we're feeling
Every word from you holds such meaning
No telling what tomorrow holds
All we can do is see what unfolds
Struggling for balance between my dreams and my reality
Envying those that seem to live so care free
Your laughter it's music to my ears
Your voice calms my deepest fears
I bask in your beauty and astounding grace
Longing for the warmth and gentleness of your embrace
Fate has been cruel and kept us apart
I'll hold you close within my heart
Your eyes sparkle like stars in the sky
I could stare into them until the day I die
I am your armor to protect you from harm
You are to me my most lucky charm
My love for you is pure and true
Not a day goes by without me thinking of you
