February Sunlight Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

February Sunlight

the ranch house I live in
faces east

pale sunlight
greets us

frozen mounds
of dusty snow

lie along curbs
like breakwaters

in a surreal
landscape

one thing
cheers

sunlight lingers
a vernal foretaste
