Faust...In Canning Town(For My Old Pal Al) Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Faust...In Canning Town(For My Old Pal Al)

Rating: 5.0

Christ...in Heaven!

Isn’t it always the same?

You wait all your life

for one
succubus

to come
along

& then three
come together!

Bloody Hell...now 69
succubuses(succubi?)
all at once.

Well, I’ll be...damned!

Is this the...
bus that
goes to Canning Town

to pick up a bus
to City Airport?

The bus driver smiles
a Mephistophelean smile.

Three little devils at the bus stop
(proud of their ASBO’s)
bellow: “Here…wot you doin’ in
our manor! ”

“Michael Faust.”

“Will passenger Michael Faust
please go to gate 68

where Flight of fancy
beyond the realms of imagination

is...closing.”

“Micheal Faust...Michael Faust!

A great flight of fancy, Dónall - and a revenge-write, I believe!
