Faulkner Play Poem by david gerardino

Faulkner Play

the night fell on me like a strangers shadow,
the shadow laughed as it started to turn,
then i lost my grip like mark-polo, then found
myself in a faulkner play.
i felt the edge of its fingers, then i felt the breath
on my face.
then i felt the push of a lover, so i stood up
and ended this race..................still, i could not
believe my eyes, no, i could not beleave my
eyes, cause she was a devil in her prime..
