Life wanders off road, meandering down pathways
newly made.
Daily imagining tomorrow around every corner,
wondering what it will hold.
Taking into account every detail of fate, hoping
for a reprieve from errors and mistakes.
Holding hope like candlelight in a perfect storm,
unafraid of the tempest it holds within.
Trading temptations for future horizons of
yesterday's memories, watching unrequited
decisions go unbidden into lasting sunsets beyond
earthly realms, awaiting heaven-sent promises with
expectant love and hope.
