Fate Has A Sense Of Humor Poem by Kelly Zion

Fate Has A Sense Of Humor

Irony and gasoline
Fate has a sense of humor, see
One second youre standing on the fence
Wondering how you'll get off
The next you're on the greener side
Wondering how you got there
Fate has a sense of humor

One second youre climbing the wire
Hoping not to catch on fire
Next you're back at home passed out by the door
Wondering how you got there
Life is a pretty sick dream
Somethings we're glad we can't see
Demons are bad enough when you can't see them

Hope is a twisted thing
That lures you, sometimes it's good
Sometimes you fall so far you wish you never would've
Hoped, its a twisted sister to remorse
Of course without it is just despair,
Not a prayer, no reason to care
No reason to dream of getting out of here.

Dreams are twisted feelings
Things that make it so you can't sleep at night
Can't feel right
It's a type of hope you cling to,
Nothing anyone can see
Dreams are an invisible friend
To your enemies.
