You wanted me to be in your arms
But I couldn't catch you if you wouldn't fall
You wanted me in your life
But I couldn't reach you behind the wall

You wanted to tell me
But you were afraid I wouldn't feel the same
I wanted to tell you
But I was afraid you were still in pain

We were both broken
So we were scared from the start
But as we picked up the pieces
We put them together into one heart

Who actually knew
That we would end up this way
We were fated to meet
But I will be here to stay
