Fat Poem by natalie tru

Fat

When I look in the mirror
When I look in their eyes
When I look at my reflection through smooth turquoise bodies of water as the fish swim on by
When I run out of breath during soccer
When I look through photos as years go by
And sadly
When I look in his eyes
It is no lie
It is no disguise
It is real and I can feel their fingers pointing at me as I jiggle on by
I do care
I do know
I do want to change
So every day I put down the fork in hope
I am anorexic and it is a bit hectic
But you all put me here
So now I will try
Even if I die
To satisfy thee
When I am skinny as a tree
Damn right you will see
And I do believe
That it will happen
To me.
