Fast Gamble Poem by Mary Jesusa Villegas

Fast Gamble

Hesitant to

take this

gamble.

But I have to.

Time can never be stopped.

I have to

Time can never be stopped.

I have to because

according to it running should be

walking.

Running is walking its way round.

Gasps.

Gasps,

Run for your wrinkles.

Gasps.

Run even though seconds only walk its way round

Running is walking.

And you won't even see your tomb.
