Fascination Number Seven Poem by Shelby Barker

Fascination Number Seven

With a lively green blanket to my back
I - all heaven above me - gaze.
Oh, I am a paramour to the sky,
vulnerable to the clouds
which shape-shift to my desires; a
bliss, so… -
What vast a paragon spreads above me! -
blissfully I gaze,
blissfully I gaze, and
experience a longing, so tender…
Alas!
How flawless a refuge it would be;
to ensconce in the most solemn citadel!
Why am I limited by gravity?
Why can I not go?
