Farewell is one thing, we all say
In life on earth, some day, some way;
Bidding good-bye to things we love
And hate, as time is struck above.
Some separations seem transient;
Some others could be permanent;
But this is how our life goes on
And changes come like moon and sun.
Sometimes, they bring tears in our eyes;
At times, they look like throwing dice;
Some anguish fills our mind and heart;
But that’s how we always depart.
We joined this lovely place to learn;
The training’s o’er, ’tis time to earn;
’Tis sad to leave our teachers, friends;
‘How to take things’, on us depends.
We had a good time anyway;
We thank God, parents, teachers, aye;
A twig must turn a branch and fruit –
This is life’s basic fact and truth.
Each candle must light many more,
Dispelling darkness to the core;
Today, we are proud nursing staff;
We will make patients smile and laugh.
