Farewell Poem by Robert Longley

Once there were so many
Now there are so few
Time to say a sad farewell
To another that you knew

It is a time of knowing
That this trend needs to stop
If man is meant to truly thrive
And not just blindly shop

It begins with some correction
Of course, and thought, and need
A changing of direction
And the entry of new seed

It’s here that we find balance
In slow reversing trends
To help preserve the landscape
And stemming future ends
