Fare Thee Well Poem by John kago

Fare Thee Well

Rating: 5.0

I sit in my favourite spot
next to a budding pine, behind the house
it is a beautiful night, as I gaze upon the stars
they push all my thoughts away
only a vast sea of shining twinkles in my dark beautiful night.

I trace your face with these shiny dots
you smile down at me
its true, I cant forget you, all our memories
our chats, our laughs are forever.

now were worlds apart, you up there and I here
miles and miles, but still I see your light
frustrating for I understand
some of us were meant to find happiness
some of us were simply meant to find greatness
maybe that’s us.

dark clouds are starting to fill the sky
dear one, I guess its time
to push all this behind us, its due
for soon the sun shall rise
I wont forget you
for you were a part so dear, now apart.

I wish you well.

sadness is nothing new to us but still it lingers and sticks in our hearts for too long. I'm realy grateful you can relate. PEACE.

Often when feeling the sadness born from the sorrow of separation, I seek my solace in the silence of the stars. I speak in shushed words to the heavens, that some I loved, might hear...Your poem like spray from th salty sea, refreshed me and my wounded heart. I have saved to my list of favorites. PEACE
