'Far From My Heart' Poem by Lindemberg Pereira da Silva

'Far From My Heart'

Touch me...one more time
Tonight, don't leave me alone.
'Cause for your kiss
Is all that I long.
Sing one song,
In what love comes along.
But I hardly know
Even so near,
I still feel
your heart far from me.

You are far from my heart, darling
I can see it clearly in your eyes.
Even so near, I feel that
In each goodbye.
You are so far from my heart, my dear
And each poem so lonely.
All your feeling for me has gone
with your love...
so far from me.

The cold in the streets,
Drops from the rain on the ground.
And the lights of the city,
The soundless all around.
My love lies on the bed,
While you sleep quietly.
But I hardly know
Even so near,
I still feel your heart
Far from me.

I love the main line, 'your heart is far from me'. It's a wonderful way to phrase the idea of the poem. It's beautiful.
