He is far from my speculations
Beyond my deepest thoughts
My pondering cannot contain Him
My imagination cannot grasp Him

He is far from my feelings
Beyond my deepest emotions
My mind cannot fathom Him
Nor comprehend His ways

But my spirit can hear His call
My soul sees His hand beckoning
My heart longs daily after Him
His voice a sweet consolation

Though He is beyond my grasp
And as His path seems Hidden
I see His reign in all creation
Within every breath that I take

He moves within to uphold me
And sustains me by His word
He knows the path that I tread
And I will behold Him in time
