Far Far Away... Poem by GRANT FRASER

Far Far Away...

Explosions!

heard from so far away,
is space hostile?

does it deserve a
race like this?

the boulders
squat inside my ears,
it's like there's nothing
here...

out there, nothing down
here would make sense,

that no one can reclaim
innocence,

the cold rock, minerals,
intricate metals,

I sail into this life,
and back out,
with hesitation,

there's something wrong
about our alikeness,

and heads bob
yet stay fixed,

I'm going say something,
she's going say it too!

to something more
empty than death,

living without life,
and reliving it without
ever knowing,

if it is real enough...
