seem always to be farthest away

The ones right beside us are distant

The days have passed, but the memories remain
Feelings last no longer, but in memory they are contained

A couple years
Such a while
Such a brief period in life

A couple weeks
A couple months or days
A second is all that it takes

One change
One effort to strive

A singular passion
No distractions

Just living a life of exuberance, excellence, and pride
