Famed Poets Of South West Gippsland

Famed poets of South West Gippsland your fame known far and wide
You glorify in your verses your coastal Countryside
Your poems are of Phillip Island, Kilcunda and Archies Creek
In your words of fine beauty perfection you do seek.

Leongatha and Korumburra, Tarwin Lower and Venus Bay
And of Wonthaggi, Inverloch and Cape Paterson in verse you have great things to say
You keep those verses coming and young poets you will inspire
To write poems of South West Gippsland the grand old Coastal Shire.

Famed poets of South West Gippsland great credit you are due
Your poems are of the Coastal Lands to your Shire you are true
Other poets write of their home places though than them better poems you write
Your verses of your own Shire keep you in the poetical spotlight.

Famed poets of South West Gippsland your praises have been sung
Your grand poems of the Coastal Lands have inspired the young
Poets to write about their home place a tradition will live on
And your poems will be read and loved long after you are gone.
