Faltered Poem by Judy Meibach

Faltered

Rating: 5.0

How can I still love you
when I don't love myself?
I did love you, I do love you,
but I needed you
to love me
for both of us.

You took on the burden of
caring about me
and then caring
for me.

You were my boyfriend,
my lover,
my savior
and knight in shining armor.

I was your girlfriend,
not your daughter or
patient.

We needed to be equals
and when I couldn't be there
for you =
we faltered.

Judy, Jesus once said 'Know thyself'. This is the key to attracting healthy partners and better friends. Peace, Ray
