False Truth Poem by David Lovell

False Truth

Slowly, my life begins to crumble
Above me, I can hear the skies rumble
Downward, I can feel myself tumble

The truth is strangling me
Worldwide constants are pain and misery
Can’t believe this is how life is supposed to be
I’m helpless and useless, all those that I cannot free

A lie so close to truth, I feel my greatest agony
But You, You shine Your light through deception and treachery
The real truth “Do what you can and follow Me”
With this knowledge I go on, my weary soul has been set free
