False Religion Poem by Paula Glynn

False Religion

Rating: 5.0

False religion where churches burn,
And Satanists spread the word,
Of death, violence and destruction,
To steal away hope and, instead,
Give abandonment to the masses,
And promote war and suffering,
To see people get shot and stabbed,
And live in a valley of litter,
A place you could only call hell,
To see them spread hate,
And deem a psychotic fate,
That leaves all without hope or love,
To take away opportunities and equality,
To push and pull the rope in hatred,
And see us all burn, like pigs being roasted,
The men of Satan seeing those scream as they die,
To watch the world disintegrate with atomic bombs,
And bow down to the dark lord,
Who will tempt you and betray you,
Everything he promises a lie,
For he will hurt you and desert you,
Leave you to feel the pressure,
As you wish you had followed the ways of the lord,
A lord who will never betray you:
Only offer you love and hope,
And hand you that rope,
When stormy seas rock your boat,
And he will never leave you in a river of trash,
He will rise up and show you new ways,
Ways to make this world a better place,
A place where only false religion can burn.
