Falling Away Poem by Heather Owens

Falling Away

Rating: 5.0

I find myself alone
the tears slide gently
down to the barren ground
my knees start to shake
I crumble
down to the barren ground
My nails dig into the earth
inflicting my pain unto it
down to the barren ground
blood wells inside
scars I dwell upon
down to the barren ground
heart flutters
throat dries
down to the barren ground
breath slows
lungs still
down to the barren ground
life stops
death starts
down to the barren ground.
