Falling Asleep Poem by Janet Mary Zylstra

Falling Asleep

Rating: 2.5

Falling asleep on God's shoulder,
Wrapped in a blanket of prayer,
Kept by His love from all danger,
I find my solace there.

Watching all night until morning,
Jesus is holding me tight,
His love is a stronghold unmoving,
His mercy and patience my Light.

For here I'm surrounded by mercy,
Here is no worry nor fear,
Here I can sleep on God's shoulder
And know that His love's always near.
