Falling Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Falling

A lonely cloud hovers over miles of farm
Bird swoops down to pick wriggling a worm
With slow pace girls walk down to the river edge
Where they giggle and play as if on an open stage
From horizon in the east night is about to descend
Spreading a shroud of darkness upon stretches of land
A moon is going to swim across placid water of the stream
The earth goes to sleep till dawn bathing in its soothing beam
