Fallen Hero Poem by Jim O'Donnell

Fallen Hero

Rating: 5.0

Remember them for what they are
They travelled out to lands afar
Sweethearts cry as they depart
Both of them with broken hearts

Mothers daughters fathers sons
They all were loved by someone
UK troopers every one
Do you know were their life begun?

Fighting for our rights to live
For that there lives they did give
Most in there twenties they did die
Can you hear their sweethearts cry?

Our fallen heros travels home
In a box and all alone
Going to there resting place
Without a cheer from our race

Now lets stand up and show we are proud
And cheer our fallen heroes loud
Show the world we do care
Our hero lost their lives out there

Now they are back in hallowed ground
Never to hear another sound
This poem written just for you
So we remember you
Our fallen hero too
